History

1973

Giorgio Battagliotti founded MPE Srl (an acronym for Materie Plastiche Elastomeri) based in Pessinetto (To), thanks to the experience acquired in the family business (Officine Battagliotti, operating in mold construction for the production of rubber and plastic items)

1989

The production is transferred to the Mathi plant, in a former Cotton Mill called Santa Lucia. In the new plant, skills of traditional blow molding and injection-blow molding (Pressblow Molding) are developed and deepened.

1999

Business expansion in the European market leads MPE to increase the production of injection molded, co-molded and blow-molded items with the opening of a second Italian plant in Villanova Canavese, which is about 1 km far from the Mathi headquarter.

2003

In order to follow in the best possible way its customer in their growing needs of globalization, MPE starts its own internationalization process with the founding of MPE USA, Inc., based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

2007

The international path continues and MPE Balkan Doo, located in Kula (Serbia) is founded.

2008

MPE Mexico (Mpe Materias Plàsticas Y Elastòmeros de México, S.A. de C.V), founded at the end of 2008, represents today the last step of the internationalization strategy begun in 2003.

2012

MPE Usa moves to a larger facility in Pineville, district of Charlotte (NC) after the positive feedback of the market and the increasing production level.

2013

MPE Balkan moves to a new plant to cope with the growing market demands.

2018

MPE invests in the construction of a new and innovative automatic warehouse, which allows to optimize both time and space and to create new business opportunities.

2018

MPE China (MPE (Suzhou) Automotive Products Co.,Lt) is established and represents an additional step to the worldwide internazionalization processs of the group.

2019

New opportunities and challenges offered by NAFTA market make necessary the transfer of  MPE Messico (Materias Plàsticas Y Elastòmeros de México, S.A. de C.V) to a newly built facility located in the new industrial park in Léon-Bajo, also known as PIBLBA, in the immediate surroundings of the same city of Léon; the new building allows to concentrate both production and logistic activities in the same facility.
